Dulwich College Achieves Record GCSE Results for Second Year Running
Dulwich College is celebrating an exceptional set of GCSE results, with pupils achieving the College’s best-ever Results Day outcomes.
Building on the College’s record results last summer, this year’s cohort has raised the bar again. The average grade has risen to a record 8.29, while 82.1% of grades were awarded at 9-8 and 94.2% at 9-7, both increases on last year’s Results Day figures.
There were also some remarkable individual and subject achievements. 72 pupils achieved at least eight Grade 9s, with 65% of all Mathematics grades and 67% of all English Language grades awarded at Grade 9.
Simon Dungate-Jones, Deputy Master Academic at Dulwich College, said: ‘Last year’s cohort set an exceptionally high bar, and we are immensely proud of the way this year’s pupils have risen to that challenge. These results reflect their ambition, hard work and commitment, but they are also a platform for what comes next. We are excited to see them embrace the greater depth, independence and intellectual challenge of A level study, and all the opportunities that life in the Sixth Form will bring.’
Mr Milne, Master of Dulwich College, added: ‘This is a superb achievement for the boys and the College. They have worked incredibly hard and made a notable improvement in grades from the mocks to the summer exams. To have gained such a high average score 9-8 (A*) is tremendous and very well-deserved. This marks the second year in a row that the pupils have gained very high outcomes, the scores should give each of them a real sense of confidence for the next two years and their Sixth Form studies.’
