Brighton Dome’s Winter Wonders

There’s plenty for families to enjoy at Brighton Dome this winter, from festive theatre and circus to carol concerts and Christmas crafting.

Celebrate the start of the Christmas holidays with spectacular theatre show Starchitects Save Santa!, which blasts off into the galaxy from 20-24th December. Full of fun and surprises, this exciting intergalactic Christmas story mixes gravity-defying choreography, stunning digital projections and magical characters, as a group of adventurous friends attempt to save Santa on a daring rescue mission in outer space.

From 28th-31st December, escape the festive lull at Afrique en Cirque, a high energy celebration of Guinean culture that combines thrilling acrobatics, dancing and traditional African music. Complemented by colourful costumes and scenery, the audience will take a journey through Guinea without leaving their seats.

Earlier in the season, on 8th December, at a special Crafty Christmas Family Workshop, children and their parents or carers can create a snowy scene of their own to take home and the whole family can join Brighton Festival Chorus, the youth choir and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra for their annual Christmas concert.

There is also a screening of classic festive film The Snowman, accompanied by live orchestral music (15th December) and Brighton’s Choir With No Name return for the Big Christmas Singalong! (16th December), a feel-good event for everyone.
