Is the topic of sustainability and recycling on your agenda this year? If so, keep reading. If not and you have young children, keep reading anyway.
'The Beast in the Bin' is a great new book to help introduce the topic in a really fun but educational way. The Beast in the Bin was getting tired of all the rubbish piling up, so decides to do something about it and sets to work to get his friends recycling. The author, Michelle Boholst is a CSR Manager by day for an Employee Engagement organisation and is passionate about educating the younger generation on the topic of sustainability and the impact everyone can have.
'The Beast in the Bin' was published in June this year and is receiving great reviews from its young readers who love the colourful characters and the playful rhyming style the story is written in.
Michelle will be taking part in some live reading sessions in her local schools over the coming months and has also created a fun worksheet to accompany the story, helping the children put into practice what they have learnt about recycling.
Available from most major bookshops, 'The Beast in the Bin' should definitely be one for your class reading list this year. Feel free to reach out to Michelle for more information at thebeastinthebin@yahoo.com
