The Holly King and The Oak King
From 29 November to 24 December, Battersea Arts Centre presents a new festive adventure that will take young audiences on a magical journey through the seasons. The Holly King, ruler of winter, and the Oak King, leader of summer, engage in their twice-yearly battle to determine which season will reign. During one particularly long winter, the Holly King defeats the Oak King, plunging the world into endless cold and darkness. Now, the fate of the world lies in whether the Oak King can rise again to restore balance, or if winter's deep freeze will remain forever.
Audiences are invited to discover this captivating story by following an enchanting theatrical trail throughout the venue. Along the way, they will find playful interactive moments and surprises. The experience is brought to life with puppetry and live performances, making it a festive treat for families. Presented in collaboration with Wild Rumpus, an award-winning immersive events company, this holiday event promises to be a magical experience for all. Ideal for ages 3 and up, tickets start at £14.50, with concessions available.
