Get away without going away at Morden Hall Park

Loved by the South London community, Morden Hall Park is the perfect place to enjoy the summer holidays right on the doorstep. With acres of parkland and a wetlands area, it’s ideal for exploring nature. You can even attend an after dark Bat Walk in July and August.

As part of the National Year of Reading, families can bring children to enjoy Undercover Readers – Top Secret Trail. Trail sheets are available from the Garden Centre or Café, inviting children to crack clues and complete a mission, with a small prize at the end. Merton Libraries will also host ‘Storytime in the Park’ every Thursday throughout the summer holidays for children up to seven years.

There is also family outdoor theatre in the Rose Garden. Visitors can bring deckchairs and picnic blankets for The Jungle Book from Immersion Theatre, Pinocchio from Illyria, and Quantum Theatre’s The Tales of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny – ideal for younger audiences. With pizza available from the Rose Garden kiosk, there is no need to bring a picnic. Further details and tickets for all events and activities can be found on the Park’s website.
