DS&C are offering free introductory hand stitching workshops for youngsters as part of the S&DR200 festival. Workshops will take place at Darlington Library, Crown Street, Darlington on Saturday 13th September 2025 between 10.30 a.m. - 2.00 p.m. last entry 1.30 p.m. Places are available on a first come first served basis and all children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. A choice of stitching activites will be available with members of DS&C there to guide and explain the different stitches and help you make your finished article. The library are hosting the S&DR200 festival exhibition, celebrating the birth of the modern railway. Why not take a look around and maybe be inspired to sew your own celebratory piece.
