Olivier Award-winning Nicoll Entertainment pioneer children’s entertainment with four shows currently on tour
Nicoll Entertainment is bringing Dinosaur World Live to Darlington Hippodrome from 8th - 10th November (https://nicollentertainment.com/).
Nicoll Entertainment, founded by Oliver Royds and Nick Brooke, were once again recognised in this year’s Oliviers with Dinosaur World Live winning the Best Family Show at the 2024 Awards. At the forefront of children’s entertainment and responsible for creating some of the most innovative family friendly theatre productions of the past decade, the company strongly believe in the importance of family theatre and getting children to experience the joy of live entertainment.
Oliver Royds comments, Children’s theatre is the grassroots of the theatre industry. It is often overlooked by many but it’s so important for the development of children's imaginations as well as having the ability to inspire the next generation of theatre makers and practitioners.
Back by popular demand, the Olivier Award nominated stage production of The Tiger Who Came to Tea is returning to Theatre Royal Haymarket this summer, celebrating its 10th West End season. This musical play is adapted and directed by David Wood OBE, based on the classic tale by Judith Kerr OBE. The show is also out on tour across the UK lending more opportunities to watch this much-loved classic.
The Olivier Award winning production of Dinosaur World Live has wowed audiences across four continents since 2017 with its ferociously life-like dinosaur puppets and it will be touring the UK again from the end of August. It is unique in bringing puppets of this scale to an interactive setting where the audience can get so close to them; a special meet and greet after the show even offers brave explorers the chance to make a new dinosaur friend.
Also on tour is fantastical Olivier Award nominated interactive show Dragons & Mythical Beasts live where audiences enter into a magical world of myths and legends. Unveiling a myriad of dark secrets, they come face to face with some of the most magnificent monsters and terrifying beasts ever to walk the earth.
The Lion Inside can too be seen at venues around the country. Based on the book by Rachel Bright and Jim Field, and adapted by Sarah Punshon, this heart-warming tale about confidence and self-esteem follows a shy little mouse who sets out on a journey to find his roar.
Along with producing their own sell-out shows, Nicoll Entertainment also offer a range of General Management services including tour booking, production management, payroll, merchandising and transport. Plus they run Unit 9 Puppet Workshop, a studio at the forefront of British puppetry.
