At Home Activities in Devon

With local businesses and attractions currently being closed to the public due to the Covid-19 crisis, we have been compiling a list of local resources that can be used by local families as well as local history resources .  If you particularly love any of them, why not give the business involved a shout-out on social media!

The Devon Wikipedia page, history of Devon,  and mining articles are full of useful information and reference points for further research 

The Devon Museums website has a list of all local museums as well as links to their site to get further information.

The archived but relevant BBC site has details on various Devon Myths and Legends and the Visit Devon  website features a section on Dartmoor historic stories

The British County Flags website has a section on Devon Day which takes place on 4th June every year with additional information about Saint Petroc to be found on Wikipedia

The Plymouth History Festival website  has lots of resources and articles from the May 2020 month-long virtual event
