It's nearly the Easter holidays and that must mean that, for families in Devon it is Easter Egg and Spring Trail time!We have pulled together some great ideas that children of all ages can get involved with this season.

The Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth has two fantastic trails coming up this Easter and Spring. Open daily from 9am, general admission and parking is free.
The Spring Wildlife Hunt, taking place from 17th March to 2nd June invites participants to spot the wildlife that has thrived thanks to their stewardship of the land, aided by the donkeys of course! Seek out some of the many species by finding the wildlife boards located around the Sanctuary and matching them on your trail sheet. This entertaining family activity combines fun, exercise and brainpower and is just £5 per trail
The Easter Wildlife Hunt, is being held from 1st to 16th April where you can celebrate Easter with donkeys and spot the wildlife that is hidden around the Sanctuary. Seek out some of the many species by finding the wildlife boards located around the Sanctuary and matching them on your trail sheet. £5 per trail with an Easter prize on completion.
From 31st March to 19th April under 8s can take part in a two hour play session where they can collect all the eggs and take home a hatching egg to grow. Early booking is strongly advised.
On 31st March there will be a session specifically set up for SEND explorers with lowered capacity and reduced overall noise and all paid children will receive a toy egg to take home.
From 1st to 16th April - Easter trail, tombola as well as an Animal Discovery Zone, three circular walks, nature challenge and see the “What’s On Board” for hourly “Keeper Talks”

From 1st to 16th April - play Woodland Adventure Golf and take part in a free Easter egg hunt. Solve the clues to win a free gift, subject to availability

On 7th, 8th and 9th April - Solve a series of clues to find the Easter bunny by following the trail of eggs. Also, hop along to the photobooth area to take a mug shot.
Find Gilbert the Station Master’s Goose and its Cheeky Chicks, and complete the sheet to win an Easter treat. Children 15 and under can pick up a free activity sheet from Seaton or Colyton Stations.
Explore the spring gardens and woodland leading you to your chocolate prize with Easter games, face painting, a magic show, inflatables, food and drink and much more
Find 25 5 foot bears painted by local artists around Bideford, Barnstaple, Great Torrington and Ilfracombe. Use the Bear Hunt app or download the trail map from the website and make a donation to support Children's Hospice South West.

7th to 10th April -Find the Easter chicks perched up and down the cobbled High Street to the quay. Collect a prize from the Visitor Centre reception if you find ten.
