Holmleigh Park just keeps getting better
Holmleigh Park High School is now in its fourth year, and has been recognised as one of the most improved schools in the country.
At GCSE, the school’s Progress 8 score has increased by over a full grade since 2019, making it the tenth most improved school in the country over the last three years. A Levels have improved even more, with the percentage of grades at A*, A or B increasing from 15% in 2019 to 62% in 2022.
Perhaps in line with this, the school has become popular with local parents, with a large waiting list in Year 7.
“I’m very proud of how hard our staff, students and parents have all worked to achieve this,” says Headteacher Patrick Farmbrough. But he believes the best is yet to come: “This will never be a school which stands still, and I know that Holmleigh Park will keep getting better and better every year.”
