Vikings! and the Borough of Leicester: Re-enactment and Living History

A full Viking encampment will be set up amidst the Roman ruins of Leicester - see how the Northmen lived, make your own Viking coin and have a go at calligraphy under the supervision of Saxon monks. Discover the different types of fighting man and their weapon techniques and realise the brutality of dark age warfare. Just what was the influence of the Vikings on Leicester?
