It's going to be neon, this Christmas, at Stourhead

Stourhead is ready to reopen its popular Illuminated Trail, this year, opening from from 26 November to 2 January 2022. The Palladian house and landscaped gardens are adorned with decoration for this family-friendly trail, which sees the Wiltshire countryside flooded with enchanting illuminations, choreographed to a soundtrack of much-loved seasonal music. Neon strings are stretched between towering trees, there’s a tunnel of hearts and larger-than-life mistletoe, a flotilla of festive, brightly coloured boats on the lake, giant colour changing flora and plenty of fantastic selfie moments.

Among the highlights are, the Neon Tree, its branches interwoven with multicoloured neon lights, Voyage, a colourful installation of small boats on the water, and Neon Strings, a woodland with bouncing lines that glow in the moonlight.

Independent street food vendors bring a delicious twist to tasty treats on offer. Complete your walk under the stars with toasted marshmallows, a spiced winter warmer or hot chocolate shared with someone special.

The trail is designed for visitors of all ages and is accessible to all to enjoy.
