New community campus boosts family leisure in Melksham
A new “state-of-the-art” leisure facility for families in Melksham and the surrounding area of Melksham Without opens this Monday. Located at the heart of the town, The Melksham Community Campus is run by Wiltshire Council and contains a wide range of sports and community facilities with a gym, fitness studios, a 25m pool, a learner pool, a sports hall, library, and meeting facilities for the local community. The council says the learner pool makes the new campus an ideal place for children to learn to swim.
It is offering a £25 discount on a new leisure membership until Mon 8th Aug when visitors use the code GAMES25 at checkout (see link below).
The campus replaces Melksham Library and Melksham Blue Pool which have both closed ahead of the opening of the new facility, allowing staff to transition to the new campus more easily. Melksham Without Parish Council also relocates to the campus.
According to both councils, Melksham Community Campus is a major milestone in their strategy for the town, which has seen “significant” investment in recent years, including the new home of Melksham Town F.C. and Melksham Rugby Club at Oakfields, the redevelopment of Melksham Market Place and a new skate park.
