Literature and Theatre Collide at Pound Arts

This October half-term there is fun for all the family with Pound Arts’ series of stage adaptations of beloved children’s books along with a celebration of the work of Roald Dahl. To book to see any or all of the three shows, please follow the links below, email or phone the box office.

The week starts on Monday 24 October with Roald Dahl and the Imagination Seekers, an immersive interactive show from Get Lost and Found. The performance uses a combination of games and play to portray a world where the words of Roald Dahl are disappearing and children helping an ancient order are the only ones who can save his stories for the world.

On Tuesday 25 October Topsy Turvy Theatre bring fun for children as young as two to Pound Arts with Christopher Nibble. The show is an adaptation of Charlotte Middleton’s book of the same name and follows a guinea pig’s quest to stop the disappearance of dandelions from the town of Dandeville. Topsy Turvy Theatre uses a combination of handmade puppets and original music to create a fun and enjoyable experience aimed at children between the ages of 2 and 7.

Finally on Wednesday 26 October Long Nose Puppets and Annie Brooks present a fun, imaginative and thought-provoking show for all the family with DU IZ TAK? Long Nose Puppets and Annie Brooks use little puppets on miniature sets to tell the story of tiny insects with some big ideas.
