Kids will love a series of theatre adaptions of children’s stories at Pound Arts this October half-term, including an interactive celebration of the work of Roald Dahl.
To start the week, on Monday 24 October, Get Lost and Found production company presents a fun and immersive show called ‘Roald Dahl and the Imagination Seekers’. Using a combination of games and performance, the company portrays a world where the works of Roald Dahl are disappearing and the only people who can save his words from the world are a group of children helping an ancient order.
The fun continues on Tuesday 25 October with Topsy Turvy Theatre’s performance of ‘Christopher Nibble’. The show is an adaption of Charlotte Middleton’s book of the same name and follows the titular guinea pig’s quest to stop dandelions from disappearing from the town of Dandeville. In the performance, the group uses a combination of handmade puppets and original music to create an enjoyable and fun experience for children between the ages of 2 and 7.
Finally, on Wednesday 26 October Annie Brooks and Long Nose Puppets present an imaginative and thought-provoking show for all ages with ‘DU IZ TAK?’ The play uses little puppets on small sets to tell the story of small insects with big ideas.
