Salisbury gears up for Christmas
Families have lots to do in the historic heart of Salisbury this festive season, starting with the Salisbury Christmas Trail in the city’s medieval streets of Salisbury, whose decorations run from Fri 18 Nov to Mon 2 Jan 2023. Visitors can capture their memories at several specially designed installations throughout the trail: maps are available online and at Salisbury Cathedral and Information Centre from 18 Nov.
‘Christmas on the Square’ brings classic handcrafts to Salisbury’s Guildhall Square, offering unique locally made gifts, delicious food, and drink at a wide range of stalls. The event runs from Fri 18 Nov to Mon 2 Jan 2023 between 11am and 7pm.
The traditional Santa’s Grotto is available as part of Christmas on the Square almost up to the big day itself. Children can sit and listen to a festive story read by Father Christmas and then receive a gift before having a quick photo with their family and Santa. The grotto runs from 18 Nov until 24 Dec with specific open times are available online.
