Fans of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s lovable larger-than-life dragon Zog will want to make a beeline to Swindon’s Wyvern Theatre in May. The keenest pupil at Madam Dragon’s school is returning to the stage in this much-loved yarn about his efforts to win the golden star he’s always wanted. Zog, however, tries just a little bit too hard and, after much bumping, burning and roaring in class, he has to face up to his biggest challenge yet: a duel with the fearsome knight St Gadabout the Great. Luckily, help is at hand in the form of plucky Princess Pearl, who patches him up and prepares him for the big showdown …
This smash-hit stage adaptation from Freckle Productions – the team behind ‘Zog and the Flying Doctors’ and ‘Stick Man’ – promises to be bigger, brighter and more roar-some than you’ve ever seen it before and, with catchy, lively songs from Joe Stilgoe and direction by Emma Kilbey, you’re sure of a great time in the company of the beloved dragon.
