Drama and beauty at Arundells

There are three chances to explore the gardens of Arundells on Salisbury’s Cathedral Close, enjoy a picnic with your family and take in a rollicking theatre show to boot. The historic house is playing host to three family-friendly outdoor theatre shows this summer against the spectacular backdrop of Salisbury Cathedral. The hero of Sherwood Forest takes on the dastardly Sheriff of Nottingham in ‘Robin Hood’ (3 Aug - pictured) while Lewis Carrol’s most fearsome beast comes to life complete with a fire-breathing giant dragon puppet in ‘The Jabberwocky & Other Nonsense’ (17 Aug) and Dorothy sets out along the Yellow Brick Road with Scarecrow, Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion in ‘The Wizard of Oz’ (31 Aug). All three shows are suitable for all. Details of times and prices on the website.
