Between the Sun 7 July and Sat 3 August, Summer School, now in its 50th year, brings you what promises to be their most exciting event yet, with a vast array of courses and activities for all ages and interests. With fantastic entertainment and superb food and drink, all enjoyed in the magnificent surroundings of Marlborough College, it is your chance to discover, create, learn and celebrate.
With adult courses ranging from ‘Landscape Archaeology’ to ‘Mah Jong’, ‘Indian Block Printing’ to ‘Screen Acting’, and ‘Pyrography’ to ‘Making a Bee Hotel’, Summer School offers over 450 ways to discover, create and learn.
There is also a fantastic programme of activities for 3- to 17-year-olds including a ‘Water-sports Activity Week’, ‘Drone-Coding’, ‘Horse Riding’ and many artistic courses.
Summer School is a celebration, not just of learning and discovery but of the finest food prepared by talented chefs, of delicious cocktails served by the bar team, and an exciting timetable of entertainment: from lectures and recitals, outdoor theatre and comedy, to the headline acts in the Memorial Hall. This year guests are joined by the Reverend Richard Coles, and the Rt Hon Michael Portillo, plus diverse musical performances from The Military Wives Choir, G4, and The Counterfeit Stones and many others.
