Look out for free performance, creativity, spectacle and fun in the city of Salisbury this May when leading arts organisation Wiltshire Creative launches its City Encounters weekend.
The opening event of both City Encounters and Salisbury International Arts Festival is Patch’s Parade, when residents and visitors welcome a new friend over six metres tall!
Patch and their penguin companion travel the Salisbury streets on a spectacular journey of friendship, with music, dance and song.
This is a true celebration of the city, heralded by over 100 community members, singing, dancing and rocking the route. At Market Square, the original Salisbury Giant, Christopher, joins in. Grab your spot along the parade at 11am on Sunday 26 May!
City Encounters brings the city to life with free professional, original street theatre, dance, music and circus performances that will delight all ages. There’s also free craft activities and live music. No ticket required!
