O2 be in Calne now that summer's here!

A range of family events take place in Calne this summer, with the backing of Calne Town Council, including a celebration of one of the town’s most notable residents, Joseph Priestley, who discovered oxygen exactly 250 years ago. On 13 August children can make fizzy water as OXYGENFEST in Calne Pocket Park explores ‘The Secret World of Gases’. There are also Mobile Science Shows on 5 August in North End Play Arena and the Recreation Ground.

Other events include The Pig Parade throughout the summer holidays – decorate a pig and follow the trail around the town – The Calne Town Crier Competition (20 July) and Calne Bike Meet (27 July). For more details visit one of the sites below.
