Circus workshops for schools

Circus is where art, sport and creative endeavour join up. The ideal circus workshop in school should offer something for everyone, working with a range of equipment to provide excitement and education.

Circus Wessex, part of the Buzz Action Foundation, provides exactly that type of experience for schools, offering a “wow” factor and leaving everybody feeling they’ve achieved something. It arrives with its own equipment, promising pupils and staff a thrilling and vibrant workshop. Using aerial rigs, balance beams, wobbly bikes, skill toys and juggling props it ensures everybody takes part.

The community circus group recently worked with two children with severe physical disabilities, enabling one to perform aerial moves and another to dive-roll safely, thanks to well-thought-out teamwork with their peers.

According to Circus Wessex’s Jonathan Russell, “No two workshops are ever the same. Our excellent teachers and support staff will inspire a great sense of adventure, leadership and encouragement in your pupils.”
