St Augustine’s Students Celebrate Continued A Level Success

St Augustine’s is celebrating another year of excellent A Level and Level 3 results, with outcomes once again consistently above the national average.

Headteacher Mr Aidan Dowle said, “This is such a significant day for our young people and their families. Their results are the product of real commitment over the past two years, and we are delighted that the vast majority have secured places at their first-choice universities.”

While most students are heading to university this autumn, others have chosen high-quality apprenticeships or gap years. The range of destinations reflects the ambition and determination of this year group.

Among this year’s standout successes are Emer Forde, who will study English Language and Literature at Oxford; Kitty Byrne, going to the University of Reading for Environmental Sciences; and Gilbert Arnold, heading to Lancaster University for Film Studies.

Other notable achievements include Thea Taylor, who will study Veterinary Medicine at the University of Surrey; Anna Jones, who will read Speech and Language Therapy at Reading; and Flo Gwyn, who has secured a place at The Royal Welsh Conservatoire.

Henry Pike, who joined the Sixth Form as a new student, will begin an apprenticeship in accountancy, while Jack Rushmere will take up an apprenticeship in quarry management.

Mr Dowle added, “These results reflect a significant team effort from staff and students alike. We are proud of all our students and look forward to seeing where their journeys will take them next.”
